June 10--Nothing quite says: "Welcome to the Big Leagues" than having a baseball card issued with a rookie's likeness.
Cubs rookie slugger Kris Bryant is among those featured in a Topps 2015 Series 2 MLB set collection of 350 cards to be launched Wednesday.
The first-ever cards for Bryant and Diamondbacks star Yasmany Tomas will be accompanied by a continuation of celebrity First Pitch cards of actor John Hamm, comic and pop culture icon Stan Lee, Bill Kreutzman and Mickey Hart of The Grateful Dead, and actor Chris Pratt.
Giants star Buster Posey will be the Topps 2015 series 2 MLB set ambassador.
"From rookies to seasoned veterans everyone knows the special excitement that players get when they see the cards, and our goal is to make sure that experience is transferred to the consumer, whether he is a traditional collector or some young people who are just engaging in the cards for the first time," Posey said in a statement.
The Series 2 base set also features veterans, rookies, future stars, league leaders, history cards and highlights from the 2014 season and World Series.
