June 02--MIAMI -- Despite missing nearly the first two weeks of the regular season, rookie Kris Bryant is the only Chicago Cubs player in second place in the latest National League All-Star voting released Tuesday.

For the second consecutive week, Bryant trails Matt Carpenter of the St. Louis Cardinals at third base. First baseman Anthony Rizzo slipped to third place, behind Adrian Gonzalez of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Paul Goldschmidt of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Starlin Castro also fell to third place in the shortstop voting, trailing Jhonny Peralta of the Cardinals and Brandon Crawford of the San Francisco Giants.

Catcher Miguel Montero remained in third place, behind Buster Posey of the Giants and Yadier Molina of the Cardinals.

Voting concludes on July 2.
