BRIEF: Kris Bryant moves to 3rd spot in Cubs' lineup

May 05--ST. LOUIS -- Kris Bryant will bat third and Jorge Soler fourth for the first time this season as the Chicago Cubs try to snap a three-game losing streak Tuesday night against the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium.

Bryant, who has batted fourth in all of his 16 games, reached base safely five times Monday night. Soler has batted second or third in all but one of his 23 starts.

Anthony Rizzo will stay in the second spot, as manager Joe Maddon prefers a left-handed hitter batting second against a left-hander. The Cubs will face left-hander Tyler Lyons, who will make his first start in 2015. The Cubs tagged Lyons for nine runs in four innings of a 17-5 win at Busch Stadium on May 12, 2014.

Here's the Cubs' lineup for Game 2 of the Cardinals series Tuesday night in St. Louis:

Dexter Fowler cf

Anthony Rizzo 1b

Kris Bryant 3b

Jorge Soler rf

Starlin Castro ss

Junior Lake lf

Welington Castillo c

Kyle Hendricks p

Addison Russell 2b
