BRIEF: Kris Bryant in LF as Jake Arrieta faces Giants ace Madison Bumgarner

March 24--Jake Arrieta of the Chicago Cubs will face Madison Bumgarner of the San Francisco Giants in a battle of aces Thursday at Scottsdale Stadium.

But as a twist, Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant will start in left field. Bryant, the 2015 NL Rookie of the Year, made four starts in left last season.

Jeimer Candelario will start at third in place of Bryant.

Before the game, the Cubs traded left-handed reliever Edgar Olmos to the Baltimore Orioles for a player to be named later.
