BRIEF: Kings guard Darren Collison settles down in Granite Bay

Feb. 05--Former UCLA Bruins and L.A. Clippers guard Darren Collison, who joined the Sacramento Kings as a free agent this past offseason, has purchased a home in Granite Bay for $1.375 million.

Located about 30 minutes from Sleep Train Arena, the two-story home has a center-island kitchen, large formal spaces, four bedrooms and four bathrooms in more than 5,100 square feet of living space.

Among its features are a double-height living room with a fireplace, a family room with custom built-ins and a lower-level game room with a wet bar. The master suite sports his and hers vanities and a large soaking tub.

Outdoors, the one-acre grounds contain large expanses of grass and a pool with a waterfall feature. Elsewhere are a tiered fire pit, a pergola-covered outdoor barbecue and a hot tub.

Collison, 27, signed a three-year, $16-million deal with the Kings in July after opting out of the last year of his contract with the Clippers. He is averaging 16.3 points per game and 5.7 assists per game through 44 contests this season.
