BRIEF: Justin Bieber's tour stop in Rosemont generated $2.9M: report

May 06--Justin Bieber's Allstate Arena performances last month generated nearly $3 million in sales, making Rosemont the most successful two-night stop so far on his "Purpose" world tour, Billboard magazine reported Thursday.

The tour has earned more than $40 million from 29 concerts from its kickoff March 9 in Seattle through last week. Bieber sold out 25 arenas, with overall attendance recorded at 404,496 entries, Billboard reports.

The statistics don't include Bieber's Wednesday and Thursday shows at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Bieber drew more than 28,500 fans each night of his April 22-23 stay in Rosemont, according to Billboard.

The Canadian singer played two shows last month at Philips Arena in Atlanta, which generated $2.7 million. His three March shows at the Staples Center in Los Angeles brought in $4.3 million.

Bieber has tour dates booked into November in support of his "Purpose" album, which dropped Nov. 13.
