June 06--Julia Roberts and Dermot Mulroney, leading actors from the beloved romance comedy "My Best Friend's Wedding," reunited Saturday, during Spike TV's "Guys Choice 2016" in Culver City, California.
Mulroney, Northwestern University alum and star of the recent movie "Dirty Grandpa," handed the Oscar-winning actress the Woman of the Decade award during the Spike TV event.
"I had the pleasure of playing Julia's best friend in 'My Best Friend's Wedding' and life imitates art and we became best friends," said Mulroney. The actor and actress were 33 and 29 years old when the film was released in 1997. 19 years later, the two are now 52 and 48 years old respectively.
"My Best Friend's Wedding" was set and filmed in Chicago, and remains one of the most well-known rom-coms of the '90s. Roberts won a People's Choice Award for Favorite Movie Actress in 1998 in the wake of the film's success.
