BRIEF: Josh Norman fined more than $26,000 for incidents involving Odell Beckham Jr.

Dec. 23--Odell Beckham Jr. isn't the only one being punished by the NFL for aggressive behavior during the New York Giants-Carolina Panthers game on Sunday.

Panthers cornerback Josh Norman is being fined for some of his run-ins with Giants receiver Beckham.

Norman is being fined $26,044 for two incidents involving Beckham -- $17,363 for striking him in the head and neck area and $8,681 for a face mask. Norman was penalized twice for unsportsmanlike conduct during the Panthers' 38-35 victory.

Beckham, who drew three flags for unsportsmanlike conduct, was suspended one game by the NFL on Monday for what the league called "multiple violations of safety-related playing rules." At one point, Beckham launched himself helmet first into Norman's helmet.

Beckham has appealed the suspension. Former Washington and Philadelphia wide receiver James Thrash will be the hearing officer in the case, which is expected to be heard on Wednesday. If the punishment is upheld, Beckham will miss the Giants' game against Minnesota on Sunday night, as well as the $55,813 paycheck that would have come with it.
