April 05--About one week after saying he was "intrigued," manager Joe Maddon followed up on his feelings by placing rookie slugger Jorge Soler second in the Chicago Cubs' lineup Sunday night against St. Louis ace Adam Wainwright.
Also, Maddon will bat left-handed ace Jon Lester eighth despite the fact that Lester is hitless in 36 major league at-bats. Lester isn't expected to throw more than six innings or 100 pitches.
Mike Olt will get the nod at third base and bat sixth. As expected, David Ross will start at catcher with Lester on the mound.
