Aug. 27--More than four years after they first listed their five-bedroom, 11,000-square-foot mansion in River North, longtime Chicago-based radio host Jonathon Brandmeier and wife Lisa on Wednesday finally sold it for $4.69 million.
Brandmeier, 59, currently hosts a nationally syndicated talk show that airs locally from 9 to 11 a.m. weekdays on WLS-AM 890. Through the couple's Sunset Trust, they paid $4.46 million in October 2007 for the 12-room mansion.
They first listed the mansion in June 2011 for $5.9 million and spent more than two years holding fast to that asking price before pulling it from the market in September 2013. They then relisted the mansion in June for $4.6999 million and wound up selling it for just $10,000 less than their asking price. Public records do not yet identify the buyer.
Features include six full baths, four half-baths, six fireplaces, a full-floor master suite, a movie theater, an elevator, multiple decks and an attached three-car garage. Past listing information has stated that Brandmeier and his wife had put $8 million in total into the mansion.
The couple's listing agent, Laura Rubin of Baird Warner, declined to comment.
