April 14--John Dossett and Douglas Sills will join the cast of "War Paint," the Goodman Theatre announced Thursday.
As previously announced, "War Paint" will star Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole as dueling cosmetic industry rivals Helena Rubinstein and Elizabeth Arden. Dossett will play Tommy Lewis, Arden's husband and marketing officer, and Sills will play Harry Fleming, Rubinstein's confidante.
Dossett recently starred as Billy Flynn in "Chicago" on Broadway. Sills last starred on Broadway in "Living on Love" with Renee Fleming and starred in the original Broadway production of "The Scarlet Pimpernel."
"War Paint," the Broadway-hopeful musical about the female titans' beauty battle, features a score composed by Scott Frankel with lyrics by Michael Korie and a book by Doug Wright. Michael Greif will direct, with choreography by Christopher Gattelli. The newly announced production team includes David Korins (set design), Catherine Zuber (costume design), Kenneth Posner (lighting design) and Brian Ronan (sound design).
"War Paint" runs June 28-Aug. 14, extended from the previously announced closing date of Aug. 7, at the Goodman Theatre, 170 N. Dearborn St.
