Oct. 16--John Cleese will perform a second show in Chicago on Nov. 5.
The Monty Python co-founder, who remains not yet killed off by a major news publication, will draw from his new autobiography "So, Anyway" to take the audience on a "mean-spirited walk" through his tale of becoming a comedy legend.
Cleese is best known for "Monty Python's Flying Circus" and the subsequent films "The Meaning of Life," "The Life of Brian," and "The Holy Grail." He is also known for his work in "A Fish called Wanda," "Fawlty Towers," "Cheers," "3rd Rock from the Sun," and "Will and Grace."
Tickets for the newly announced performance go on sale Oct. 20 at noon and can be purchased at athenaeumtheatre.org and 773-935-6875.
As previously announced, Cleese will also perform Nov. 6.
Both performances take place at the Athenaeum Theatre, 2936 N. Southport Ave.
