BRIEF: Joakim Noah opens Crunch gyms in Aurora, Mount Prospect

April 06--Joakim Noah has opened the first two of several Crunch Fitness gyms the Bulls star will own in the Chicago area.

Noah is the majority owner of new franchises in Aurora (2300 S. Eola Road) and Mount Prospect (225 W. Rand Road), which opened their doors Wednesday.

Crunch officials said the gyms are the first of several to be opened by Noah, but didn't offer details about the time frame for their construction or locations.

Crunch launched a partnership in 2014 with BDA Sports Management, which includes Noah among its clients, starting with a Los Angeles-area gym owned by Sacramento Kings star Darren Collison. The Phoenix Suns' Chase Budinger also operates a franchise.

Noah will operate his franchises with guidance from longtime fitness club manager David Harman.
