Jan. 22--Jimmy Choo will move its Chicago boutique at the beginning of April to 114 E. Oak St., across the street from its current location at 63 E. Oak St. in one of the city's high-end shopping districts.
The move expands its space by nearly 80 percent, to 1,960 square feet on two stories. The new space has been vacant since Dec. 31.
"Since this year marks our 20th anniversary, it was important that we elevate our presence in Chicago with a new flagship on this destination street," Pierre Denis, chief executive, said in a statement.
The luxury brand is best known for women's shoes, but it also sells purses, scarves, glasses, belts, fragrances and men's shoes.
The front of the "dual-gender" store is dedicated to Jimmy Choo women's and men's collections while the second floor features additional women's goods and space for Jimmy Choo's made-to-order service. The reopened store's made-to-order service will also allow brides to create shoes with initials or a date plaque on the sole.
