BRIEF: Jimmy Butler on his Superman night-light, rear-view mirrors and more

May 19--Jimmy Butler is a full-grown man, but he still has a little bit of kid in him.

The Bulls' All-Star guard appeared on NBA TV's "The Starters" Wednesday night and told the hosts that he sleeps with a Superman night-light. Butler did not confess to any lingering childhood fears -- this is someone who has guarded LeBron James, after all, so it would be understandable if he had his share of nightmares -- but said he's just a fan of the Man of Steel.

With the Bulls' failure to make the playoffs, Butler has a longer-than-expected summer ahead of him. His plans apparently include some acting. Butler told "The Starters" that he has landed a small part in a movie that will be filming soon. He also hopes to make USA Basketball's Olympic roster for the 2016 summer games in Rio de Janeiro, which begin August 5.

He also disputed the rumor that he's taken the rear-view mirrors off his car and talked more about his 6,000-pound fish tank shaped like a boombox (it only plays country music).

Butler has been the subject of some recent trade rumors, including one that has him heading to Minnesota for a reunion with former coach Tom Thibodeau.
