Oct. 14--Jenny McCarthy wants to take her clothes off in the name of history.
The Evergreen Park native is campaigning to appear in the final issue of Playboy magazine that features full nudity. Brass for the magazine, which was founded in Chicago, announced Monday that starting in March, nude photos will no longer appear in the print edition.
"It breaks my heart having it be an end of an era. In solidarity, I will be wearing my panties at half mast," McCarthy, 42, said Wednesday on her SiriusXM show. "And (Playboy founder) Hugh Hef(ner), maybe one more for the road. I would totally be willing to just take it all off one more time just to say I'll be in the last one."
McCarthy, who recently moved to St. Charles, was the 1994 Playmate of the Year. She said she embodied the girl-next-door spirit of the magazine.
"There was nothing ever skanky, I thought, about the photos. I never felt like I was posing in a way that would make my mom disown me," McCarthy said.
