March 07--The Jeff Awards Committee has combined the categories for new work and new adaptation, with all world premieres now being judged as new plays or new musicals.
Multiple winners will be permitted in the newly named "New Play" and "New Musical" categories.
The updated classifications will become effective for non-Equity productions premiering on or after April 1, 2016, and for Equity productions premiering on or after Aug. 1, 2016.
