Dec. 08--What's for dinner? JeanMarie Brownson often writes about that very question in her Chicago Tribune column "Dinner at Home," in which she has been sharing the dishes she creates for family and friends for more than eight years.
Brownson will share some of those recipes in person at a signing and cooking demo for the cookbook "Dinner at Home," a collection of 140 recipes from the column. The event takes place at Read It Eat, a culinary bookstore in Lincoln Park, on Dec. 13 at 2 p.m.
Expect prosciutto Parmesan puffs, sauteed scallops with chermoula, bacony black beans, tricolor quinoa and a sweet apple and mincemeat tart. (For more on the cookbook, published by the Chicago Tribune, see Brownson's column here announcing its debut.)
Tickets are $20 to attend the event only, or $49.95 for the event and a copy of the book.
