BRIEF: Jay Cutler congratulates Blackhawks, hopes to 'catch up at some point'

June 16--The Chicago Blackhawks' dominance has had a similar affect on Jay Cutler as it has on many Chicagoans.

The Bears quarterback didn't follow the sport much growing up in Santa Claus, Ind., about 70 minutes drive west from Louisville. But the Blackhawks have hoisted the Stanley Cup three times now since Cutler was traded to the Bears in 2009. He acknowledged Tuesday it's hard not to pay attention to such a successful group.

"The Blackhawks have a dynasty going right now, and they've got this town excited, and rightfully so," he said. "We have to congratulate them. They're doing great things, and hopefully we can catch up at some point."

The Bears, whose only Super Bowl championship was in 1985, have missed the playoffs in seven of the last eight seasons.
