BRIEF: Jason Chan leaves Juno; prepares for 'new project'

June 19--Jason Chan has decided to leave Juno (2638 N. Lincoln Ave., 773-935-2000), the restaurant he founded in 2013 with partner B.K. Park.

"After much consideration," he said via email, "I have decided to leave my restaurant, Juno, in the exceptionally capable and talented hands of my friend, chef B.K. Park. I will take a short time to catch up with family and friends before I embark on a new adventure in the Chicago hospitality and food business.

"I am very excited as I look forward to my new project, [and] proud and grateful for chef B.K. and his team as they continue to thrive at Juno."

Chan stressed that the reasons for his decision were "all positive and mutually amicable."

What this means for Nishiguchi, the project that Chan and Park were to launch with Rich Melman at 2300 N. Lincoln Park West, is uncertain.
