BRIEF: 'Jane the Virgin' star Gina Rodriguez is constantly asked if she is one

Jan. 21--The No. 1 question fans ask "Jane the Virgin" star Gina Rodriguez?

If she is a virgin.

"And I'm like, 'I'm 31.' That's it," Rodriguez told Ellen DeGeneres on Thursday's episode of "Ellen."

On The CW series, Rodriguez plays a 25-year-old virgin who has a baby after she's accidentally artificially inseminated.

DeGeneres asked Rodriguez, who grew up in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side, whether being around babies on the show makes her want to have one.

"So bad. I feel like they bring the baby up to me and my ovaries are like aaaahh, come here baby," Rodriguez said.

"I want one so bad, I do, but I don't want the whole process. I just want one to arrive. Like the stork conversation."

Rodriguez, who won a Golden Globe last year for her "Jane the Virgin" role, said she's open to adoption.

"Ellen" airs weekdays on NBC at 3 p.m. "Jane the Virgin" airs Mondays at 8 p.m.
