Aug. 06--The doors have opened for Ixcateco Grill (3402 W. Montrose Ave., 773-539-5887), a BYOB Mexican in Albany Park.
Anselmo Ramirez, a 13-year veteran of Frontera Grill and Topolobampo, is the chef and owner, offering a menu of small-plate Mexican street food and such traditional entrees as chicken in black mole and adobo-marinated pork in pasilla-mezcal-tomatillo sauce.
The restaurant will be open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday; weekend brunch will begin soon.
