BRIEF: Irwin Yablans pulling up stakes in Westlake Village

March 11--Horror film producer Irwin Yablans and his wife, Diana, listed their second home in Westlake Village at $930,000 and in less than a week it was in escrow.

Built in 1991, the remodeled house features wrought iron railings, crown moldings and a built-in media center. The updated kitchen has white cabinets, granite counters and stainless-steel appliances.

The 2,512 square feet of elegant living space include open-plan dining and family rooms, an office, four bedrooms and three bathrooms. There are fireplaces in the family room and master bedroom.

A paver patio and lawn extend the living space to the fenced backyard with a fountain.

Irwin Yablans, 80, produced such horror classics as the "Halloween" films and "Hell Night." He was executive producer for the Charlie Sheen-Emilio Estevez film "Men at Work."

The Yablans make their primary residence in the desert and are selling because they have bought another second home nearby.

Erin Pohl and Bob Pearson of Coldwell Banker are the listing agents.
