BRIEF: 'Iron Chef America' Chairman Mark Dacascos offers up his Westlake Village traditional home

July 24--"Iron Chef America's" Mark Dacascos, who plays the Chairman on the televised competition show, is seeking a buyer with an appetite for a traditional-style home in Westlake Village listed at $1.575 million.

The actor-martial artist-cooking show host has quite a few bells and whistles in his own kitchen -- an island with custom cabinetry, granite counters with travertine backsplashes and a walk-in pantry.

Living, family and dining rooms, a wet bar, a gym, four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms are within the 4,523 square feet of living space. There's also a 530-square-foot detached studio.

The two-story house with red brick accents was built in 1988.

The more than half-acre lot contains mature trees, lawn, roses, fruit trees and a step-up wood deck.

Dacascos, 51, started on the Food Network show a decade ago. He appeared on "Hawaii Five-0" from 2010-14 and in the movies "Cradle 2 the Grave" (2003), "Brotherhood of the Wolf" (2001) and "Drive" (1997).

Robert Shimp of Engel Voeklers is the listing agent.
