April 30--Three local premieres will make up Irish Theatre of Chicago's 2015-16 season. A spokesman for the theatre announced the roster on Thursday.
"My Brilliant Divorce" (Oct. 7-Nov. 1) by Irish playwright Geraldine Aron, a one-person show about a newly divorced woman figuring out her life, will begin the season at Chief O'Neill's Pub Restaurant (3471 N. Elston Ave.). Siiri Scott will direct the production that will star Barbara Figgins.
Next is "In A Little World of Our Own" (March 2-April 10, 2016) by Gary Mitchell, a popular playwright in Northern Ireland. Mitchell's play is a thriller involving three brothers. The production, directed by Jeri Frederickson, will be performed at The Den Theatre (1333 N. Milwaukee Ave.).
And last is the U.S. premiere of "Spinning" (May 25-July 3, 2016) by Deirdre Kinahan. Joanie Schultz directs the drama about a recently released prisoner and a woman in mourning who affect each others' lives. The show will play The Den Theatre.
