BRIEF: Iowa pulls scholarship offer to Fenwick quarterback Jack Beneventi

Dec. 12--Fenwick senior quarterback Jack Beneventi is no longer being offered a scholarship by Iowa, he told HawkeyeInsider.com.

The 6-6, 200-pound Beneventi verbally committed to the Hawkeyes on Dec. 5, 2013, while a junior at Benet, according to the website. He moved to Oak Park and transferred to Fenwick this summer for his senior season.

He also told the website that Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz came to Fenwick to tell him personally that the Hawkeyes were pulling their offer.
