BRIEF: Intruder bludgeons woman with frozen turkey in San Francisco home robbery, police say

April 12--A home robbery in San Francisco took a bizarre turn when a thief grabbed a frozen turkey out of the refrigerator and hit a resident in the head with it, police said Tuesday.

The incident took place at a home on the 700 block of Kirkwood Street around 4:30 a.m. Monday, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

The suspect, a woman in her late 20s, broke into the home, hit the victim over the head and bit her finger after a verbal fight, police said. The victim, a woman in her 40s, was taken to a local hospital.

The intruder flew the coop with the turkey, jumped into a silver Lexus with paper license plates and drove off, police said.

Authorities have yet to make an arrest in connection with the attack.
