Feb. 11--Three days after the Mets finished their National League Championship Series sweep of the Cubs at Wrigley Field, another spectacle took place at the ballpark.
Indiana native Ben Higgins, who calls himself a die-hard Cubs fan, went on a one-on-one date with Texas real estate developer JoJo Fletcher on Oct. 24 as part of Higgins' search for his future wife on "The Bachelor."
TV cameras captured Higgins and Fletcher alone in the park as they donned Mr. and Mrs. Higgins Cubs jerseys, poked their heads through the center-field scoreboard, snuggled in the grass and dined in the outfield.
Twenty-eight women vied for Higgins' heart this season, and six contestants remain, including Fletcher.
Higgins is expected to cut two women in Monday's episode, which also features him returning home to Warsaw, Ind., about two hours southeast of Chicago.
"The Bachelor" airs 7 p.m. Mondays on ABC.
