Feb. 25--An Indiana man has been charged after security officials said they found a handgun in his carry-on bag at the O'Hare International Airport.
Brian R. Hardman, 47, was charged with one felony count of attempting to board an aircraft with a weapon and one misdemeanor charge of an unlawful use of a weapon, according to police.
Hardman, of the 1200 block of Longmeadow Way in Evansville, Ind., was arrested at a security checkpoint at O'Hare around 8 a.m. Tuesday after officials found a 9 mm handgun and a loaded magazine in one of his carry-on bags.
Hardman is scheduled to appear in Cook County bond court Wednesday.
