June 06--Sky rookie Imani Boyette is going all out to get rapper 50 Cent to attend the team's game against the Liberty at Madison Square Garden on June 24.
Boyette has been tweeting the hashtag #WNBA20for50 in what she's calling a monthlong campaign to invite 50 Cent to the see the Sky and Liberty face off in the rapper's hometown of New York, and also pay homage to the league's 20th season.
"So we play at the New York Liberty on 6/24. @50cent I've know you're busy but ticketmaster said u free that day! #WNBA20for50," she tweeted on May 10.
And later that day: "Don't worry we have like a whole month, I'll give you time. #WNBA20for50."
She also tweeted that "Best Friend" was the first dance at her wedding and also remembered when she received a "whoopin'" because she used the explicit version of "P.i.M.P." on her MySpace page (Yes, MySpace.).
On Monday, she was still at it: "I don't think people know you got 9 books. @50cent but I think it's impressive. Only 19 days till I meet you bae! #wnba20for50."
50 Cent had no public answer to Boyette's invitation on his social media pages as of Monday afternoon.
