BRIEF: Illinois to play in NIT Season Tip-Off next year in Brooklyn

Nov. 28--Illinois will compete in next season's NIT Season Tip-Off basketball showcase in New York.

The Illini will play at the Barclays Center during Thanksgiving week along with Florida State, Temple and West Virginia, officials announced Friday.

The format has each team hosting two on-campus games against designated opponents before traveling to the event in Brooklyn. The complete schedule and pairings will be announced later.
