Nov. 12--Illinois has indefinitely suspended freshman linebacker Julian Jones, the school announced Wednesday night.
A news release said Jones allegedly committed a crime in his home state of Georgia during the team's open date.
Jones has played in every game except the season opener, when he was injured, mostly on special teams, and has been credited with three tackles.
The Illini face No. 3 Ohio State on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
