March 16--Illinois will host an open practice on April 16 in place of the annual Orange and Blue scrimmage that highlights spring football practices.
Due to the late hiring of new coach Lovie Smith, the plans were adjusted.
The open practice is free and will take place at Memorial Stadium at 1 p.m. Parking is also free.
The Illini begin spring practices on April 1 with the first of 15 workouts. The final practice will take place on April 26.
