Sept. 14--Chicagoans who want to see Ta-Nehisi Coates, Aasif Mandvi, Claudia Rankine or scores of other speakers this autumn get their chance to buy tickets starting Monday.
Chicago Humanities Festival tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. via chicagohumanities.org or at 312-494-9509. The festival's theme this year is "Citizens," and a high proportion of the more than 100 events between Oct. 24 and Nov. 8 will address the question of what it means to be a citizen.
General public tickets are already on sale to the fall's other big annual cultural event, Chicago Ideas Week, which takes place Oct. 12-18.
