BRIEF: Hospital worker charged with choking 15-year-old patient

Feb. 18--A hospital worker in suburban Harvey is accused of choking a 15-year-old patient.

Steven Pleasant, 46, has been charged with aggravated battery in connection with the Jan. 25 incident.

Pleasant was a behavior counselor at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey when he allegedly choked the 15-year-old boy, who is a ward of the state, authorities said. Pleasant has since been fired, they said.

He was expected to appear in court Thursday.
