BRIEF: Hornets blow out Bulls 130-105

Nov. 04--On the bright side, Bobby Portis welcomed himself to the NBA with a made jumper on his first attempt and some trash talking and physical play.

Other than that . . .

It's hard to pinpoint the low point of Tuesday's 130-105 blowout loss to the previously winless Hornets. But the start of the second half would at least have to be considered.

Already down 22 at halftime in a meek performance, the Bulls opened with Tony Snell committing a lazy turnover and Pau Gasol not contesting an Al Jefferson made jumper.

Or maybe it's the start of the fourth quarter. Having already surrendered 100 points through three quarters, the Bulls allowed the Hornets to rip off a 10-0 run.

Whatever the case, it's the most points the Bulls have ever allowed in 106 meetings with the Hornets and the most points allowed in a regulation game since a March 9, 2010 loss to Utah.

Derrick Rose scored four points, marking the first time in his career he has posted single digit scoring games in three straight outings.
