Dec. 15--A Hoffman Estates bank was robbed Monday morning by a man who passed a note to a teller and then ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
The robbery occurred shortly before 9 a.m. at the Hoffman Estates Community Bank, 2200 W. Higgins Road, police said in a statement.
After grabbing the cash from the teller, the robber fled on foot north on Higgins Road, police said. No injuries were reported.
The robber was described as 6-foot-4 inches with a thin build, wearing a gray hoodie.
