BRIEF: Hillary Clinton to campaign in Chicago Nov. 2

Sept. 23--Hillary Rodham Clinton will bring her Democratic bid for the White House back to Chicago on Nov. 2, making a campaign appearance and raising money, a campaign aide said Wednesday.

Details will be released closer to her visit, the campaign said. Clinton previously held a public campaign event in the Bronzeville neighborhood in May, where she spoke about affordable child care and income inequality at a roundtable sponsored by the Service Employees International Union Healthcare Illinois.

During that visit, she also held a pair of fundraisers in Chicago, where she was born before growing up in suburban Park Ridge.

Last week, former President Bill Clinton served as a fundraising surrogate at two Chicago fundraisers. Hillary Clinton originally had been scheduled to appear, but went to campaign in New Hampshire to fend off inroads being made by Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in the nation's first primary state.
