BRIEF: Here's how to be in a Chaka Khan music video

Jan. 28--Chaka Khan is encouraging fans to upload a one-minute video of themselves lip synching the chorus of her new song "I Love Myself" to win a chance to be included in the music video for the anti-bullying tune.

According to the rules of the contest, which began Thursday, 30-50 submissions will be selected for the video for "I Love Myself," due out Feb. 19.

"It is important that in these troubled times we honor our own self-respect," Khan, who grew up on the South Side, said in a statement. "Beauty knows no boundaries and is accepting of us all whether black, white, gay, straight, physically or mentally-challenged."

The contest, which is open to fans 13 and older, ends Feb. 19 and winners will be announced on or before Feb. 22.

More information is at ilovemyself.votigo.com.

Khan, 62, recently competed on "Dancing with the Stars" and has booked shows into March.
