BRIEF: Heidi Stillman will again lead Lookingglass Theatre

Jan. 28--Heidi Stillman will take over as artistic director of Lookingglass Theatre effective immediately, the ensemble company in its 28th season announced Thursday.

Stillman replaces Andrew White, who has served two terms as artistic director since 2010. Lookinglass ensemble members and the Lookingglass board of directors hold a triennial vote on the artistic director, always chosen from the ensemble.

Stillman previously served as artistic director of the company with David Kersnar from 1997-2000 and has helmed Lookingglass productions including Rick Bayless' "Cascabel" and the 2001 Jeff Awards hit "Hard Times." Since 2004, she has held the position of artistic director of new work.

White will transition to the the newly-created role of connectivity and engagement director, focusing on building relationships between community partners, audiences and funders.
