BRIEF: Hampshire Township crash kills Streamwood man

May 22--A 49-year-old Streamwood man died Saturday afternoon in a motorcycle crash on Brier Hill Road in Hampshire Township, Kane County Sheriff's deputies said.

John A. Peneschi was driving a 2003 Harley Davidson northbound on Brier Hill Road, south of Berner Road, with a larger group of motorcycles around 4 p.m., according to a sheriff's press release. Peneschi and another man, Vince Cincinello, 27, of Bloomingdale who was driving a 2013 Harley Davidson, left the road at a point where the road curves, the release stated.

Peneschi and Cincinello were both transported to Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin where Peneschi was pronounced dead, the release stated. Cincinello, was being treated for non-life threatening injuries, it stated.

The Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team responded and was investigating. No charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing, but it is believed speed may be a contributing factor in the crash, according to the release.
