BRIEF: 'Hamilton' cast to be featured on the Grammys

Feb. 03--Broadway is coming back to The 58th Annual Grammy Awards this year with the hip-hop hit "Hamilton."

Lin-Manuel Miranda and the cast of "Hamilton" will perform from the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Monday, the production's no-show day, via live satellite on the broadcast.

"Hamilton" is a nominee for this year's Best Musical Theater Album from the Original Broadway Cast, along with "Fun Home," "An American in Paris," "The King and I" and "Something Rotten."

Miranda, along with producers Alex Lacamoire and Bill Sherman, are previous winners in the Broadway cast album category for 2008's "In the Heights."

The last Broadway production to be featured on The Grammys was Green Day's "American Idiot" in 2010.

As previously announced, LL Cool J will host for the fifth consecutive year and Adele, Ellie Goulding, Tori Kelly, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Carrie and The Weeknd are all set to perform.

The awards will be broadcast live on CBS from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb. 15.
