April 14--Goop, Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle site, this month will open a two-week pop-up store in the Gold Coast.
The shop, at 11 E. Walton St. at the Waldorf Astoria, is Goop's third pop-up. It opened its first last year in Los Angeles and then in Dallas.
The shop will be designed in partnership with Chicago interior designer Kara Mann, who will curate the furniture and decor items, Goop said. Several local design studios, including Jayson Home, will provide products.
Other featured brands will include 3.1 Phillip Lim, Stella McCartney, Paul Andrew, Heather Taylor Home, Equipment, Carbon 38, Hatch, Coach and Heritage Bicycles.
Paltrow launched Goop in 2008 as a weekly newsletter to dispense her wisdom on healthy recipes, travel destinations and shopping finds. It has since evolved into a lifestyle and e-commerce site with a staff producing daily content on topics ranging from foot stretches to counteract pain from wearing high heels to the reasons why women criticize each other. The shopping category includes Stella McCartney sneakers for $650 and Lip2Cheek tint for $36.
The Chicago pop-up will be open April 25 to May 10.
