BRIEF: Gunmen fire on LAPD officers near park; search is on for suspects

Dec. 24--Los Angeles police are looking for several men who allegedly fired on officers near Earnest E Debs Regional Park and Rose Hill Park in Montecito Heights, authorities said Wednesday.

The incident occurred near Boundary and Mercury avenues at 3:52 p.m., said Officer Jenny Hauser.

Police are currently conducting a search of the area, and some streets are blocked off. One source said police were looking for five men.

No officers were injured.
