BRIEF: Grass fire near Occidental College in L.A. burns two acres

April 29--A grass fire broke out Tuesday evening on a hillside near the campus of Occidental College, authorities said.

The fire was first reported in the 4600 block of Townsend Avenue about 6:15 p.m., said Erik Scott, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Within 20 minutes, the blaze grew to about two acres, Scott said.

No structures were being threatened.
