BRIEF: Graham Elliot named 'culinary curator' for NFL draft festival

April 14--The 2015 NFL draft will be held in Chicago, and as part of the three-day event April 30-May 2, a section of Grant Park will be turned into a music and food festival that's billed to be "the size of more than 15 football fields."

What's pertinent to us is the food portion of Draft Town, and who more appropriate to curate the food than Twitter superstar and newly svelte Graham Elliot? (He also heads GE Bistro in the West Loop.)

The festival plans to "highlight local Chicago chefs," according to the press release. Participants in the Chi-Chef Kitchen section include Billy Goat Tavern Grill, Wow Bao, County Barbecue, Black Dog Gelato and Feast. In addition, there will be a V.I.P. hospitality area, presumably open only to very important people, and two chefs who will cook there are Perry Hendrix of Blackbird and Avec, and Spiaggia's Tony Mantuano.

Entry to Draft Town and the food sections are free. Tickets for the draft itself are here.

Won't be around for the NFL draft? You can sample Graham Elliot's curation skills next at Lollapalooza, taking place July 31-Aug. 2. Both events are put on by C3 Productions.
