March 20--Not only aren't the Bulls at full strength for Saturday's game, the Jazz got closer when Gordon Hayward, in a mild surprise, returned from missing two games with plantar fasciitis.
Both the Bulls and Jazz are trying to snag a lower-tier playoff spot in their respective conferences. The Bulls are tied for eighth in the East with the Pistons but have played two less games so have one less loss. The Jazz are a half-game out of eighth in the West.
The Bulls are without Pau Gasol and E'Twaun Moore, the latter of which will be sidelined for at least a week after straining his left hamstring and leaving last game in the first quarter.
The Bulls are in a four-game homestand against all sub-.500 teams, while the Jazz began a five-game trip.
