March 31--GMC is following the terrain paved by its sibling Chevy Equinox, which showed off its modest refresh at the Chicago Auto Show, by showcasing the refreshed 2016 Terrain at the 2015 New York Auto Show.
Introduced in 2009, the five-seat compact crossover had its best year in 2014 and the New York region is the second best-selling area after Detroit, according to GMC.
For the 2016 model, GMC refreshes its fascia, lighting, safety features and technology.
The top-tier Denali trim, which was introduced in 2013, is available with different 19-inch wheels and a new light-on-black interior choice.
One-time Denali features make it down the line to the SLE and SLT trim levels, including side blind zone alert and rear cross traffic alert, a new chrome grille and softer seats. All-wheel drive is available on all but the base SL trim.
