BRIEF: Girl missing from West Englewood neighborhood for 2 weeks

May 16--Chicago police are asking for the public's help in finding a 12-year-old girl who has been missing almost two weeks from the West Englewood neighborhood.

Raziyah Hammond has been missing since May 3 from the 7000 block of South Claremont Avenue, according to a missing person alert issued Sunday by Chicago police. Raziyah spends time near 63rd Street and Martin Luther King Drive, according to the alert.

Raziyah, who goes by the nickname Ro-Ro, is African-American with a medium complexion, stands about 5-foot-2 and weighs about 90 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair, which was in cornrow braids when she was last seen. She also was wearing a hot pink top, black jeans and pink-and-white gym shoes, police said.

If anyone locates Raziyah or has information about her, they are asked to call 911, or call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
