BRIEF: Girl, 15, missing since July from Lawndale neighborhood

Aug. 27--Police are asking for the public's help locating a 15-year-old girl who went missing more than a month ago on the city's West Side.

Shavanna Pride was last seen July 23 on the 1800 block of South St. Louis Avenue. She was wearing a black and white jumpsuit, said police.

Shavanna is known to frequent the areas of 15th Street and Christiana Avenue, and Ohio Street and Trumbull Avenue, police said.

She is described as a black girl with a medium complexion, black hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet 1 inch tall, and weighs about 123 pounds.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call 911 or contact the Chicago Police Area Central Detectives Unit at 312-747-8380.
